I’d driven by this barn for years and had an image in my mind that I wanted to create. I finally got around to making it and of course it was shrouded in fog. While it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, I think the fog added a nice element to it.

End of the rainbow
I made this photo on a Saturday afternoon in Everglades National park. It’s not perfect but I wanted to share it anyway so I love how the width allowed to utilize the rainbow to split the picture in half and highlight the difference in light on each side of the rainbow.

Rainbow over Everglades National Park
Last Saturday I went down to Everglades National Park to capture a sunset. Unfortunately the spot I picked for sunset, didn’t have a view of the sunset. Don’t ask.
But, it did have an amazing view of a complete rainbow. The setting sun was casting long shadows and laying beautiful golden light on the endless sawgrass.
The rainbow seemed to reach impossibly high into the sky before coming down in a perfect parabola.

Trail Ridge Road
This was such an incredible July day. A beautiful blue sky, dotted with puffy white clouds. And of course, snow on the ground in the summer. Still can’t get over that.
The most incredible thing about this photo though, is that I took it from a parking lot just feet away from Trail Ridge Road.

Sun reflecting on clouds after a storm rolled through
I really like this spot along the The Big Thompson River. The river snakes its way through the middle of the valley leading to some very cool twists and turns.
As I was sitting along the river, a storm rolled through. It didn’t last long, and as it moved through the sky exploded with this amazing orange/yellow color on the clouds. The reflection in the rushing water added to the incredible scene.

Towering clouds over Moraine Park
I’m sure there is some smarty pants scientific reason for it, but the clouds in Colorado are amazing. They build to towering heights over the already impossibly tall mountains.
I sat here for hours and watched as the clouds moved, shape shifted and changed color with the sunset.

Moraine Park
I got to visit Rocky Mountain National Park last year while on vacation with friends. This particular location is called Moraine Park. It’s a beautiful valley with an amazing river running through the middle of it.
I loved the way this tree stood out in the middle of the field. Dead but still standing strong against every imaginable natural force.

Early morning breakfast
I loved this shot because of the way the light was hitting the pasture. Half bathed in light, the other have covered in shadow. All as the cows meandered around in the pasture taking in an early morning breakfast.

Tennessee State Capital building at sunset.
This is the Tennessee State Capital building. I've been eyeing it for a while as a potential photo. I tried multiple times to find an angle that I liked up close and just couldn't find it. Then one day, while driving to my apartment I looked to my right and saw the building framed by Bicentennial Park and it clicked. It doesn't hurt that I just happened to get one of the best sunsets I've seen while in Nashville. Between the the park and the clouds, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
Not to mention I ran into some cool people and got to fly the drone some. All in all, a very good day.
