Great Blue Heron
This Blue Heron was nice enough to stand near perfectly still for me while I captured this image. I hung around and waited for a bit while the sun sank below the horizon hoping to capture this Heron grab some dinner. But alas, it stayed pretty much still until it was time for me to head out.

Moraine Park
I got to visit Rocky Mountain National Park last year while on vacation with friends. This particular location is called Moraine Park. It’s a beautiful valley with an amazing river running through the middle of it.
I loved the way this tree stood out in the middle of the field. Dead but still standing strong against every imaginable natural force.

Yellow tree on the banks of Radnor Lake
I really wanted to capture some reflections in the lake but it was a little too windy for long reflections. I still love the way the bright yellow on these leaves popped against the green around it and reflected in the little bit of calm water below.
