This was a cool, crisp Spring morning. The creek was flowing quickly following a night of steady rain. Clouds hung around in the air, but spared me any additional rain. I enjoyed sitting next to the creek, listening to the birds call to each other. In my mind they were sharing the happenings of a wild Friday night of partying. In reality, they were probably just letting each other know about the dumb human sitting below them.

This was a cool but humid summer morning at Cane Creek. The cloud cover helped to keep the temperature relatively low and allowed for me to capture the deep colors of the creek.
CROCKETT FALLS 4K VIDEO
It's not the most majestic of waterfalls, but as far as relaxing places go, there aren't much better. Surrounded by tall trees, Crockett Falls on the Little Shoal Creek offers a chance to get miles away from everything, even though you are only 50 yards from your car.
Rutledge Falls 4K Video
Rutledge Falls is a beautiful and peaceful place located just an hour from Nashville. The hike is short and relatively easy from the parking lot. Five minutes and a few slick rocks later you are down the trail and face to face with a rapidly flowing waterfall.
This was a cool, early spring morning. It rained for much of the previous day and the falls were running well. It's incredible how sitting next to this falling water instantly relaxes you.
Marys Peak Timelapse
I was lucky enough to get a work trip to Corvallis, Oregon recently and was able to sneak away for a few hours to check out Marys Peak.
I was a little disappointed when I got to the top and it was completely boxed in by clouds. But I was still able to find two cool views a little further down the mountain.
And the drive up and down the mountain in my rented CTX was amazing.

Slow Motion Water Ballet
We had a cold, rainy, pretty much miserable weekend in Nashville. I had planned to go out and shoot a sunset this weekend, but with the weather, that was impossible. Instead I played inside with water and slow motion.
I've always found the way that Crystal Light dissolves in water to very visually appealing. I wanted to see what it would look like in slow motion and in a larger body of water. The result is pretty cool. Mesmerizing at times. Combined with the music it is a slow motion water ballet.
