This was such a great way to kick off my trip to Seattle. The snow covered mountains, elevated viewpoint over the sound, cool weather, dancing boats and an incredible setting sun all combined to make a perfect evening.

Snow still holding on to the peaks across the sound.
As a kid from Florida there are two parts to this photo that I love. The mountains and the snow. Even though it was mid-May, snow was still holding on to the peaks of these mountains.

Sunset Hill, Seattle
I wanted to take a trip to the Pacific Northwest for a long time. Last year I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Seattle.
This photo is from a spot called Sunset Hill. It’s a beautiful area on the edge of a lovely neighborhood. I was able to sit in a picturesque park on a cool May afternoon and watch the sun sink behind the snow-covered mountains in the distance while all kinds of boats danced around the sound below.

Shanghai is an amazing city. It’s full of lights, sounds and movement. I thought it would be perfect as a time-lapse subject.
This time-lapse was shot over two days during my trip to Shanghai. Unfortunately my third day of shooting was rained out. Nevertheless I had a great time running around this incredible city trying to capture a fraction of all there is to see.

Large ships, especially cruise ships have always boggled my mind. I just don't understand how something so large can float, be so nimble and be so fast. And yes, I understand the science of it, but it still makes no sense to me.
The view from the bridge at Port Everglades gives you the perfect vantage point to watch these giants ships leave port in a coordinated ballet.
